Major Work Clay Sculptures
These works were created as my self-directed major work in 2015. Their intention was to explore that in this age of technology, tonality can often be lost in our messages.
These blank clay faces, stagnant in emotion, serve to show the physicality of emotion that can often be lost through digital forms of communication. Just as we are rich in ways to connect and communicate, we too are rich in ways to misconstrue intentions and misinterpret tone.
What do we lose when there isn't that physical visual communication, the immediate reaction and being able to read expression on someone's face?
Air dry clay.
